Chrissy Teigen Blasts Ivanka Trump For Twitter Grammar (Photo)

Outspoken supermodel Chrissy Teigen roasted Ivanka Trump on Twitter after the first daughter and presidential advisor made what most folks presume was a grammatical error implying that she did not enjoy spending time with her nephew.

The exchange went down on Sept. 19 after Trump posted a photo with her brother Eric's new baby, captioning it: "Cuddling my little nephew Luke... the best part of an otherwise incredible day!"

Teigen, who frequently voices her opposition to President Donald Trump, fired back at the fashion designer, pointing out the irregularity that eagle-eyed grammar enthusiasts likely spotted right away.

"'Otherwise' implies you did not like hangin with this baby," Teigen responded.

Ivanka did not respond to the comment, though some others were quick to jump to the first daughter's defense.

"Doesn't she mean the rest of the day was incredible, and cuddling her nephew was even better?!" one person wrote.

"Overall, is the word," replied Teigen.

While there's nothing to suggest that Ivanka hates children or had a terrible time with little Luke, the 31-year-old supermodel is technically correct in this instance, according to Merriam-Webster.

The dictionary notes that "otherwise" implies contrast, so "an otherwise incredible day" by definition would suggest that cuddling with Luke Trump was not "incredible."

Teigen has spoken out against and tweeted at the president on numerous occasions, though she posted in July that he blocked her after she tweeted to him: "lol no one likes you."

"I have been very anti-Trump since 'The Apprentice,' like when it first started, so it didn't start during the presidency like everyone thinks," Teigen told People after she was blocked. "This goes pretty deep … And I don't even follow him so I'm definitely fine being blocked. There's just this part of me that's so happy that he had to actually do that. It's just funny."

Ivanka, however, is a different story. Teigen has spoken a little more kindly about the president's daughter in the past and even suggested during a September 2016 interview with Glamour that the 35-year-old run for office, saying that she seems like "an incredibly wonderful businesswoman and mother" who "has enviable poise and grace in a very difficult position."

Both Teigen and Trump have spoken publicly about similar issues, including their struggles with postpartum depression, notes CNN.

"With each of my three children, I had some level of postpartum depression," Trump said on "The Dr. Oz Show," according to CNN. "It was a very challenging emotional time for me because I felt like I was not living up to my potential as a parent or as an entrepreneur and executive ... I consider myself a very hard-charging person. I am ambitious. I'm passionate. I'm driven, but this is something that affects parents all over the country."
