Watch: Woman Gets Out Of Car, Lets It Roll Into Traffic (Video)

A video of a woman suddenly abandoning her car in the middle of a roadway is going viral with many social media users trying to make sense of the incident.

The footage (video below) was captured on Sept 1. at around 3:45 p.m. in Rowland Heights, CBS Los Angeles reported.

In the video, a silver Hyundai suddenly brakes and a woman hops out of the vehicle.

The car continues moving forward and into oncoming traffic. It crashes into a Honda, which is then rear-ended by a Lincoln, according to California Highway Patrol.

The car eventually stops after rolling over two trees, but the most bizarre part of the video is how casually the driver jumps out of the vehicle and starts walking away as if nothing happened.

The driver was identified as 22-year-old Jasmine Lacey of San Bernardino. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI, but was released from custody on Saturday due to insufficient evidence to support a criminal complaint.

The video was posted on YouTube and has been viewed more than three million times. Several users offered their best theories as to what happened in the footage.

“I don't know what's more bizarre, the accident or the person filming the video who seemingly doesn't react to what is happening at all but rather makes an orgasmic sound and continues enjoying the weird music…,” wrote one user.

“There is nothing bizarre about this accident, she bailed and left the car in drive which meant it continued to roll forward,” wrote another user. “Obviously it was not her car or she would not have done that, she should be charged with reckless endangerment and if anyone was hurt then assault and battery. Her race is immaterial, but her actions are clearly malicious.”

Others offered a simpler explanation.

“When you are test driving and you realize it's a Hyundai,” wrote another user.
