Recently, the internet has been entranced by the personal life drama of actress Bella Thorne and her musician boyfriend Mod Sun. The couple has actively shared, and some might say over-shared, the details of their relationship on social media since they first started dating.
They first lit up social media in October 2017 with their romance.
But not every love story is perfect. It certainly seems like the course of true love isn't always smooth when it comes to the widely documented romance between Thorne and Mod Sun after she threw a fit when she discovered that Mod was using a dating app.
One afternoon, while the actress was sharing the details of her day spent lounging around her apartment on Instagram, a phone kept on getting alerts in the background of the video.
After hearing so many alerts from her boyfriend's phone, she got irritated and said: "Well, someone’s popular!"
In a separate social media post, she went on to check Mod Sun's phone, which had three notifications flashing up on the screen from dating app named Badoo, which has over 370 million users.
Thorne captioned the Snapchat of his phone, using the upper zoom filter: "When your boyfriend still has a dating app on his phone…"
Thorne's ex-boyfriend, former reality TV star Scott Disick, was also spotted on the same app when they were dating. Disick, who was on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" was found cheating by his ex-partner, Kourtney Kardashian.
And now Thorne's current love interest has an account on the dating app, indicating their relationship might not be exclusive. Some say Bella has bad luck when it comes to her love life.
In response to this discovery, Bella posted a risque topless picture of herself for her 17 million Instagram subscribers to revel in, and perhaps to give her boyfriend a taste of what he might be missing if he doesn't mend his ways.
She captioned her post, "I love you!" Some thought the caption might be sarcastic, but it was certainly ambiguous.
Just a week earlier, Bella and rapper Mod’s relationship seemed to be perfect in every way. Their love seemed solid as Mod greeted Bella in Salt Lake City with a bouquet of red roses before her appearance at the Sundance Film Festival.
The actress, who was Salt Lake City to promote her movie, "Assassination Nation," packed on the PDA with Mod moments after landing in Utah.
Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Smith, put on a show of trying to hug Bella while she was going through the airport.
Mod, who is on tour, shared his excitement of being reunited with his sweetheart and took to Instagram to express his feelings about the reunion.
"When u really find love it's not a feeling anymore," he wrote. "It takes a while to get to know how that s**t works but once u do, love becomes ur best personality trait + ur best quality. Trust will never arrive uninvited. Welcome that s**t into ur life with opens arms my hippy. Trust me I'm so happy + truly where I've longed to be."
