Woman Helps Stranger Pay For Daughter's School Supplies

A generous woman helped out a stranger who was buying college supplies for her daughter after she realized she didn't have enough money to pay the bill.

While shopping at the Bed, Bath and Beyond in the Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville, Georgia, a mother realized she didn't have enough money to pay for the college supplies she was buying for her daughter.

The mother asked the others in line with her if anybody had a coupon she may be able to use. That's when a complete stranger walked up to her and offered to help by paying her tab.

The woman gave the mother several coupons and $100 in cash, totaling about $163, to help her out.

Michelle Williams was in line to witness the incident and captured the touching moment on camera.

"My first thought was, it's great to see something so kind and positive going on in such a world that has so much chaos right now," Williams told WAGA. "It was beautiful."

The incident comes following a similar story from 2015, when a mother responded to an online ad posted by a man looking to pay $45 for somebody to mow his lawn. When she told the man that she was a mother looking for extra money to buy school supplies for her children, he offered her something better than a lawn mowing job.

According too WFMY, the man asked her to write out a list of all the supplies she needed and he picked up the entire tab for her. In return, he only asked the mother to "pay it forward."
