On the eve of the 14th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, a rainbow appeared from One World Trade Center in New York.
Sports marketing CEO Ben Sturner, of the Leverage Agency, shared photos of the stunning sight on Twitter — which quickly went viral, Sun Times reports. Soon, others began posting their own view of the rainbow. Sturner’s angle, however, probably best captured the remarkable moment.
“I see this rainbow, and it’s coming from the World Trade Center and it’s the most gorgeous rainbow I’ve ever seen,” he told NBC 4 New York. “I took out my phone and started snapping photos.”
Sturner’s photo garnered hundreds of retweets and responses from people moved by the image.
“Best birthday present in 14 years,” one viewer responded to Sturner. “This picture of hope and renewal that I feel coursing through me and out my fingertips. Thank you.”
