There have been some over-dramatic calls to defund Obamacare, but Christian activist Janet Porter recently raised the paranoia bar to a new level.
While speaking at a rally outside the offices of House Speaker John Boehner, Porter warned the crowd: "If the IRS treats health care like they treat the Tea Party, we are all dead," noted RightWingWatch.org (video below).
Porter was referring to Tea Party groups that were audited by the IRS because they were not charities, as they claimed on their tax forms, but were in reality political action groups.
Porter, who leads the "Faith2Action" ministry, also linked Obamacare to the debunked conspiracy theory about death panels, created by former half-term Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
The self-proclaimed Christian made no mention of people who have actually died because their health insurance company refused to cover treatment for a deadly disease.
"Our very lives are at stake. Not only are we paying for the abortion mandates, we’ve got IRS sitting on the death panels. Sarah Palin was right, they are going to decide who lives or dies. If they use the same tactics, we are all dead. If the IRS treats health care like they treat the Tea Party, we are all dead," claimed Porter.
