CNN host Piers Morgan and Pastor Rick Warren discussed gay marriage and the bible on Monday night's broadcast of 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (video below).
Morgan told Warren that it was time for an “amendment to the bible,” which like the American Constitution, is “inherently flawed,” reports Mediaite.com.
Morgan said: “There is still an element of the bible that is flawed,” to which Warren replied: “I do not believe the bible is flawed."
Morgan added: “Both the bible and the Constitution were well intentioned, but they are basically, inherently flawed. Hence, the need to amend it. My point to you about gay rights, for example, it’s time for an amendment to the bible.”
Warren countered: “I willingly admit that I base my worldview on the bible, which I believe is true. Opinion changes, but truth doesn’t.”
