U.S. Vet, Cab Driver Mohamed Salim Assaulted During Passenger's Anti-Muslim Tirade (Video)

Mohamed Salim, a Muslim cab driver who served in the U.S. military during the Iraq War, claims that Emerald Aviation President Ed Dahlberg accused him of being a jihadist and attacked him (video below).

Salim said he picked up Dahlberg at the Country Club of Fairfax in Fairfax, Virginia, at around 2 a.m. on Friday, per The Washington Post.

Dahlberg was told by Salim that he would have to finish his open beer before getting into the cab.

In response, Dahlberg told Salim to define “jihad” and then ranted about “radical f*cking Muslims blowing people up all over the world.”

“Denounce those motherf*ckers now!” Dahlberg yelled at Salim. “If you’re a f*cking Muslim flying jets into the f*cking World Trade Center then f*ck you. I will slice your f*cking throat right now.”

Salim, a naturalized U.S. citizen, thought he could explain Islam, but his efforts made Dahlberg angrier, reports

Salim turned on his cellphone camera to record Dahlberg and claims that's when the aviation executive assaulted him, which resulted in a fractured jaw and concussion.

Dahlberg was charged with misdemeanor assault, but that may be elevated to a hate crime.

In a statement, Dahlberg’s attorney, Demetry Pikrallidas, admitted Dahlberg “became rather emotional as the discussion turned to jihad and 9/11, and especially heated on the subject of jihadists who want to harm America.”

However, Pikrallidas claims that Dahlberg did not assault Salim.
