Televangelist and convicted felon Jim Bakker predicted Nov. 18 that an earthquake would destroy Los Angeles because those residents went against God's will and voted for former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton (video below).
Right Wing Watch notes that Bakker put a Fox News map up on the screen that showed counties across America by red (President-elect Donald Trump) and blue (Clinton) to set up his wrathful prediction against his fellow Americans:
If you live in the blue, any spot that’s blue, I would say, "Oh God, help me. Oh God, forgive me." Because those are the ones who came against the will of God in this election.
And I just want to tell you, God has spoken to me, I’ve seen under the ground in California, in LA, and God spoke to me that in Los Angeles alone there is going to be such an earthquake come that literally the big buildings will be laying on their sides, all of LA is going to collapse, downtown LA.
There are still about 2 million more votes to count in California -- votes which are expected to increase Clinton's popular vote lead, reports NPR.
Clinton is currently 1.75 million votes ahead of Trump in what is shaping up to be a possible landslide. New York and Washington State (Clinton won both) are still counting votes; no word yet on what horrors that God has planned for those states.
In more Christian news, Dan Hart of the Family Research Council posted a Thanksgiving message Nov. 22 that skewered the media for reporting imperfect polls accurately, touted Trump's victory by "the people," and promised to right the wrongs done to "natural marriage":
With virtually every mainstream media outlet and almost every poll predicting a liberal victory, voters chose a different path. In what felt like an overnight seismic shift, the people placed a new party in the White House and gave one party unified control.
As we have made clear over the last two weeks, this election is a God-given opportunity to right some of the wrongs done to life, natural marriage, and religious liberty over the last eight years. This reprieve that the Lord has given is all the more reason to be particularly thankful this year.
(Note: Bakker's prediction of the total destruction of Los Angeles is at 1:30 mark)
