Televangelist Pat Robertson was asked today on "The 700 Club" what his advice would be for a woman whose baby died instead of being healed by God as other people's children are.
The question came from a female viewer who is a co-worker of the woman.
Robertson suggested that medical malpractice may be blame for the infant's death, and then speculated on how the dead baby could have grown up to be a murderous dictator (video below).
Now, as far as God’s concerned, He knows the end from the beginning and He sees a little baby and that little baby could grow up to be Adolf Hitler, he could grow up to be Joseph Stalin, he could grow up to be some serial killer, or he could grow up to die of a hideous disease. God sees all of that, and for that life to be terminated while he’s a baby, he’s going to be with God forever in heaven so it isn’t a bad thing.
In more religious news, John Stonestreet, one of the hosts of the Christian radio program Breakpoint, recently wrote an op-ed in The Christian Post about how appalling it is for Christians to think that having children is optional while married.
Stonestreet writes, "Even in the Church, children have become an optional add-on to married life rather than its primary purpose."
