Pat Robertson Calls on Followers to 'Rise Up' Against Obamacare (Video)

Pat Robertson told his viewers on the "700 Club" today to "rise up" against Obamacare, which Robertson described as “2600, 2700 pages of gobbledygook.”

Some of that supposed “gobbledygook” that Robertson dismissed include not allowing insurance companies to use pre-existing conditions as a reason to deny health coverage, allowing children to stay on their parents' health care plan until age 25, providing coverage for 20 million uninsured Americans and expanding Medicaid to help give poor people medical care.

Robertson even compared Obamacare to former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, who was recently overthrown because he had given himself complete power without judicial review, noted Morsi was supported by the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

“You know they revolted in Egypt against the oppressive actions of the Muslim Brotherhood and this example of state socialism is something that Americans should rise up against,” said Robertson (video below).

However, Robertson failed to mention that health care coverage will still be provided by private insurance companies, which have not been taken over by the state.

Robertson falsely claimed “they snuck that thing by us" in reference to Obamacare, which was publicly voted on by both the House and the Senate and publicly signed by President Barack Obama on June 25, 2010.
