Pat Robertson Advises Woman to Sell Her 'Haunted House' (Video)

Pat Robertson advised a 700 Club viewer to sell her haunted house this morning.

The viewer wrote that she had not wanted to buy the house, but her husband did even though "the Lord tried to stop us from buying it at every turn," notes RightWingWatch.org (video below).

She grumbled that the house required numerous repairs and added, "The last few months, weird things have been happening in the home. I've seen doors open and close on their own, we can’t find something and then it appears, and things fall off shelves without reason.”

"I would sell that house in a heartbeat," advised Robertson. "I would run to the nearest realtor, put it on the market, cut the price in half and get out."

"If you don't like that, get a bunch of believers to come in there and room by room, anoint every room, and plead the blood of Jesus and cast demons out," added Robertson. "You're in for a long fight. There are plenty of houses, why live in a haunted house?"

There are no haunted houses mentioned in the Bible, although Mark 5: 1-20 does mention Jesus casting demons out of a man and into a herd of pigs.

According to a Gallup poll in 2005, 37 percent of Americans believed in haunted houses, while 32 percent thought ghosts were real.
