Pastor Claims Katy Perry Sings About Relationship With Devil (Video)

Pastor Charles Lawson, of the Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, slammed Katy Perry's song "E.T. (Futurist Lover)" during a recent sermon.

Lawson told his congregation he had better things to do than to listen to Perry and other singers, but felt compelled to recite some lyrics from her hit tune (video below), noted RawStory.

Lawson said he would not read all the lyrics because some of them were "very embarrassing," and then added, "But what she talks about in her lyrics is having a physical relationship with the devil."

"’Take me, take me, wanna be a victim,'" Lawson recited. "'Ready for abduction, boy you’re an alien. Your touch so foreign, it’s supernatural, extraterrestrial' — and on she goes in praise and worship and singing to Satan."

Lawson then complained how the Beatles went from "I Want To Hold Your Hand" to "Yellow Submarine," and got into Eastern mysticism, which became "Satanic."

TheFrisky notes that Perry did the song with Kanye West, and that the song was written by four people, which Lawson did not mention.
