Social media has been abuzz amidst rumors that "Mean Girls" actress Lindsay Lohan has converted to Islam.
Days after wiping all the photos from her Instagram account, Lohan seems to have returned to social media and has changed her bio to read "Alaikum salam," or "peace unto you" in Arabic. While it has yet to be confirmed if Lohan did indeed change her faith, Yahoo reports that "Alaikum salam" is the standard greeting used by the Nation of Islam.
Many have taken Lohan's message to mean that the actress is converting to Islam, and many Muslims are congratulating the actress on her spiritual awakening.
"I'm so happy that Lindsay Lohan found Islam," wrote one woman on Twitter, according to the Daily Mail. "May Allah guide her and bless her."
This isn't the first time Lohan has been rumored to convert to Islam. In 2015, she was photographed holding a copy of the Quran while completing community service in Brooklyn. However, she eventually shut down rumors, telling a Turkish talk show host that the Quran was just a gift from a friend.
"My very close friends, who have been there for me a lot, in London are Saudi and they gave me the Quran and I brought it to New York because I was learning," she said. "It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am."
Lohan calls herself a very spiritual person, telling Oprah Winfrey that she's "become more spiritual as time has gone on."
"I'm really in touch, whether it's prayer or meditation ... there are so many powers greater than me in the world. I've been blessed and lucky enough to have been given a gift to share with other people," she said.
According to The Mirror, Lohan's representative refused to comment on the actress's alleged conversion, instead saying that Lohan "is in a period of renewal, and is very excited for what the new year holds."
