Francisco Bracamonte was recently charged with false imprisonment, battery and carrying a dirk or dagger, in connection to an alleged exorcism in Yuba City, California.
Bracamonte allegedly picked a woman up, squeezed her and then pinned her down, noted Appeal-Democrat.com.
"[He] proceeded to exorcise the devil out of me for 45 minutes," the unidentified female told police, according to court papers.
The alleged victim claimed that Bracamonte had been using meth and was homeless.
In more religion news, Joshua Alcorn, a transgender teen, wrote a suicide note and walked in front of a tractor trailer on Sunday night in Kings Mill, Ohio.
Alcorn was born a boy, but self-identified himself as a girl named "Leelah."
According to WCPO, Carla Alcorn, Joshua's mother, wrote on Facebook, "My sweet 16-year-old son, Joshua Ryan Alcorn went home to heaven this morning. He was out for an early morning walk and was hit by a truck. Thank you for the messages and kindness and concern you have sent our way. Please continue to keep us in your prayers."
However, Alcorn painted a different picture of his home life on his purported blog, which said his parents told him that he would never be a girl, God didn't make mistakes and took him to Christian therapists "who were all very biased."
Alcorn went on to say that he came out as gay in school, which upset his parents who took away his laptop and phone, and banned him from social media, isolating him from his friends for five months.
He added that his parents lifted the restrictions and he was able to get back in touch with his friends, who were initially excited to hear from him, but lost interest.
Alcorn lamented the pressure of going to college, saving money to move out and attending church each week. He added that he didn't think he would ever transition to being a female, have friends or be happy:
My death needs to mean something. My death needs to be counted in the number of transgender people who commit suicide this year. I want someone to look at that number and say “that’s f------- up” and fix it. Fix society. Please.
