Earlier this week CNN's Wolf Blitzer interviewed a female survivor of the Oklahoma tornadoes and asked her: “I guess, you gotta thank the Lord, right? Do you thank the Lord for that split-second decision?”
The woman politely told Blitzer: “I... I’m actually an atheist.”
According to RightWingWatch.org, Beck explained last night on his TV show how the interview was part of "spiritual darkness" (video below).
Beck attacked the "bizarre exchange" and claimed Blitzer was "fed some information about the guest beforehand and given some questions."
"Some producer who is sympathetic to the atheist plight, just doesn't like Christians, or whatever it is, thought it was important to point out that in the middle of the heartland in America, where most people are God-fearing, [the producer] wanted to point out there are atheists there too," theorized Beck.
"We are not fighting against flesh and bone," Beck lectured. "We are fighting the forces of spiritual darkness and it doesn't matter what people's intent is, but I will tell you that that was there for a reason."
