'Education is Useless Without the Bible,' Says Phil Robertson (Video)

"Duck Dynasty" TV reality star and family patriarch Phil Robertson spoke at the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, La., on Thursday.

According to NOLA.com, Robertson lectured his audience on racial equality, even though he claimed that black people were "happy" under Jim Crow laws in GQ magazine in December 2013.

"There is one race on this planet it's called the human race," said Robertson. "Therefore you have no right to color-code anyone. No one, we're all of the same family... the color of your skin does not determine the character of your person."

The New Orleans Advocate noted that Robertson also slammed President Obama by saying, "We’re up against evil like I’ve never seen in my life. I’m sitting there and I’m thinking, ‘What’s coming out of the White House?’ The only thing I can tell you folks is it’s just downright embarrassing.”

Later, Robertson claimed, "Education is useless without the bible" and wondered if children were taught to "love your neighbor" there would be less shootings.

Robertson also recalled his GQ magazine interview.

"Hatred came my way," stated Robertson. "Exclusion came my way. Insolence came my way. Rejection came my way. You know what Jesus said when that comes your way? Rejoice and be glad."

Robertson also claimed that the discovery of DNA had proven evolution wrong.

After his speech, Robertson gave an interview to Fox News' Sean Hannity in which he claimed that he was in a "spiritual war" and wanted people to convert to Christianity (video below).

Robertson also said that the "vast majority" of the Founding Fathers "were Godly men," but did not mention that most of them owned slaves.
