Dad Confronted Catholic Priest Over Alleged 'Erotic' Pictures Of His Son (Video)

Stephen Pohl, a former priest at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky, has been accused of taking pictures of children that authorities have described as "child erotica," which are images that could sexually arouse certain people, but are not child porn (video below).

Pohl resigned from his position last Thursday, and was arrested last Friday in Indian Rocks, Florida. Pohl was held at the Pinellas Conty Jail until he was handed over to U.S. Marshals on Monday, reports WHAS 11.

Authorities claim that Pohl photographed a group of St. Margaret Mary students, but also took individual pictures of a 10-year-old boy, who told his mom that the pictures made him feel "weird," notes WLKY.

The child's parents ran into Pohl by accident in a store, and the student’s father demanded to see the priest's cell phone.

The student’s father told police that Pohl was “shaking like a leaf” as he handed over the phone where the dad allegedly found pictures of his son and other children.

Pohl reportedly told the police that he took the pictures for the school’s communication director to put on the school Facebook page. However, the communication director told authorities that Pohl had only given him one group photo.

Police searched computers in Pohl’s office and home, and allegedly found child pornography in the caches, which means the images were allegedly viewed, but not downloaded or stored.

Pohl was charged with knowingly accessing with intent to view images of child pornography.

He faces up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and at least five years of release under supervision.
