Colorado Republican: Gay Boy Scout Leaders Will Molest Kids, God Wants Them 'Drowned' (Video)

Colorado state Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt told parents to pull their boys out of the Boy Scouts of America on Monday because the scouting organization lifted its ban against openly gay adult scout leaders (video below).

The New York Times reports that the new policy will allow church-sponsored scout troops to choose leaders who share their beliefs, which could include heterosexual leaders only.

Despite that loophole for churches, the Republican lawmaker sounded the alarm on his "Pray In Jesus Name" Internet program, reports RightWingWatch.org.

Klingenschmitt stated:

If your boy is in one of those organizations, you need to get him out of there. Because what they’re going to do is promote homosexual men to mentoring and camping with your boys in the woods and it will lead to child abuse.

I'm just saying the Boy Scouts have been sued for this in the past and they think this is going to fix it? This is going to make it worse. And the children are in danger. It’s not about the sexual pleasure of the adults, it should be about protecting the innocent children.

Klingenschmitt then cited Matthew 18:6, a verse in the Bible, that warns: “Whoever causes one of these to little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea," notes RawStory.com.

"This is what Jesus said about child molesters," Klingenschmitt claimed, although there is no specific citation mentioning molesters.

“Personally, I would rather be drowned in the depths of the sea than face the wrath of Almighty God for having caused any of these little ones to sin,” Klingenschmitt added.

Klingenschmitt did not mention how a child would be sinning if he were molested by an adult.

Klingenschmitt then prayed for God to rescue the Boy Scouts of America from political correctness and children from men who are "engaged in all kids of sodomy."
