Christian Pizza Store Owner: Serving Gays In Store Isn't Sin, Catering Is Sin (Video)

Crystal O’Connor, one of the family owners of Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana, made news this week when she told a local TV reporter the restaurant would not serve gay weddings because of the family's Christian beliefs.

The backlash to the interview included numerous bad reviews on the online review site Yelp and criticism on social media.

O'Connor appeared on Dana Loesh's Internet radio program, "The Dana Show," this week and said the restaurant had temporarily closed down due to the backlash (video below). In response, Loesh set up a GoFundMe page which has raised more than $700,000 for the "persecuted" pizza joint.

During an interview on the Fox Business Network on April 2, O’Connor explained how gay people could be served in the store, but not get catering service, noted (video below).

O'Connor said, "It is not a sin that we bring gays into our establishment, and to serve them. It is a sin, though, if we condone, if we cater their wedding that we feel we are participating. We’re putting a stamp of approval on their wedding, and we cannot do that.”

O'Connor did not cite any verses in the Bible regarding eat-in or catering food to gay people.
