Christian Group Tells Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin To 'Nullify' Supreme Court's Gay Marriage Ruling (Video)

Gary Cass, of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission, has started a campaign urging people to contact Republican Governor Matt Bevin of Kentucky and tell him to "nullify" the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage (video below).

The campaign recalls how Kentucky fought the 1798 Alien and Sedition Acts, and calls for Bevin to do the same thing against the "rogue Supreme Court opinion," notes

The email, radio and video campaign makes no mention of the U.S. Supremacy Clause in the constitution, which gives the U.S. Supreme Court authority over the states, but does say: "Over 74% of Kentucky voters affirmed that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, but the U.S. Supreme Court created legal chaos by issuing an unconstitutional opinion."

However, the U.S. Supreme Court rules whether or not a law is constitutional, and there has been no "legal chaos" as Cass states.

The campaign also says: "Governor Bevin, we need Kentucky to once again lead the nation. Contact Governor Bevin and urge him to protect marriage and nullify the rogue Supreme Court opinion."

The campaign gives out its website,, which includes an online petition that says: "Thank you for your interest in protecting marriage and our constitution. Sign the petition below to join us in asking newly elected Governor Bevin of Kentucky to help lead the way in nullifying the unconstitutional Obergefell vs. Hodges Supreme Court opinion."
