An unidentified woman recently claimed on Facebook that she and her girlfriend were turned down for wedding gowns by the W-W Bridal Boutique in Bloomsburg, Pa.
The woman told WBRE (video below) that the bridal shop informed her: "Unfortunately she would not be able to schedule an appointment for them because they currently do not service same sex couples, it's just not something they do."
According to BloomUToday, W.W. Bridal owner Victoria Miller, who self-identifies as a Christian, told the Press Enterprise, “We feel we have to answer to God for what we do, and providing those two girls dresses for a sanctified marriage would break God’s law.”
The W-W Bridal Boutique Facebook page has been inundated with comments from people who are upset by the store's policy not to service gay couples.
While some are questioning the legality of the wedding shop's policy, the state of Pennsylvania currently allows any private business owner to turn away a customer.
