The Christian activist Family Research Council (FRC) attacked pro-gay groups for boycotting Chick-fil-A last year.
At the time, the FRC said the boycott was part of “gaystapo tactics.”
This week the FRC is launching its own boycott of the Betty Crocker company because it donated custom-made wedding cakes to three gay couples who were married in Minnesota, noted RightWingWatch.org.
FRC president Tony Perkins told his audience to boycott Betty Crocker because the company "celebrates all families" (audio below).
"In Minnesota, where parent company General Mills is headquartered, Betty Crocker decided to donate wedding cakes to the first homosexual couples who exchanged vows on the first day that counterfeit marriage was legal," said Perkins.
"'Betty celebrates all families…. We don't want to be old fashioned,' the company explained. Unfortunately for General Mills, the majority of Americans think natural marriage is anything but old fashioned. And they've made it tough on companies like Target, Starbucks, and JC Penney who disagree. Know where your money is going. When you're at the store, think outside the Betty Crocker box!" exclaimed Perkins.
