Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) told “Christian warriors” and “Christian soldiers” to stand their ground against President Barack Obama, during a conference call with evangelicals on Tuesday (audio below), reports RawStory.com.
Gov. Perry also claimed that Pres. Obama, who is also a Christian, was trying ”remove any trace of religion from American life." He did not name any specific actions supposedly taken by Pres. Obama.
Gov. Perry added: “This iron curtain or whatever you want to call it between the church and people of faith and this separation of church and state is just false on its face."
“Satan runs across the world with his doubt and with his untruths and what have you, and one of the untruths out there is driven, is that people of faith should not be involved in the public arena.”
The conference call with pastors and evangelicals is a political religious campaign called '40 Days to Save America.'
'40 Days to Save America has also done phone calls with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA), and former Jack Abramoff co-conspirator Ralph Reed.
