Archaeologists May Have Discovered Piece of Jesus Christ's Cross (Video)

Archaeologists believe they have unearthed a part of the cross that Jesus Christ was crucified on.

While the Biblical account records Jesus being crucified in Jerusalem, archaeologists made their discovery near an ancient church in Turkey (video below).

Archaeologists found the piece of wood inside a stone chest on the site of a church built in 660 A.D.

Karen Bowden, of the Kelso Museum on the campus of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary told CBS Pittsburgh: “Turkey is a very important site in early Christianity.”

Bowden says it could take years to figure out the wood's age with the process of carbon dating.

The archeological team began working on the at the church in 2009.
