Anti-Gay Preacher Gets Hit With Baseball Bat (Video)

Brother Dean Saxton, a controversial street preacher, was hit in the head with a baseball bat while preaching outside the Apollo High School in Glendale, Arizona, in early May (video below).

In a video that he posted on YouTube May 5, Saxton uses a megaphone to warn students of eternal hell for their alleged false religions, wickedness, immodest attire, enjoyment of gangster rap music and homosexuality.

Some of the students walk across the street and confront Saxton with foul language, but they are dispersed by someone who appears to be a school employee.

Saxton is told to leave the area and verbally threatened by an unidentified man. Saxton is suddenly struck from behind; a crowd of students breaks into a cheer.

He was allegedly hit with a baseball bat wielded by Tabitha Brubaker, a 19-year-old woman, notes KNXV.

Brubaker is not seen in the video, but the news station reports that she was charged with felony assault and marijuana possession.

Saxton is seen walking away with blood running down the side of his head while the crowd hoots and hollers.

Later in the video, an unidentified female and several males check on Saxton.

Saxton was interviewed by VICE in 2014 when he preached at the University of Arizona in Tuscon, where he was attending school.

During the interview, Saxton protested a documentary about Linor Aborgil, the 1998 Miss World who was abducted, stabbed and raped weeks before she won her crown.

"She is a beauty pageant contestant and there’s a lot of provocative, seductive pictures of her that she has put out of herself," Saxton told VICE at the time. "I believe that if she was at home, and if she had kept to her Orthodox Jewishness, that rape would [probably] not have happened."

Saxton, who was filmed holding a "You Deserve Rape" sign, added:

One street preacher said, "If you dress like it, you act like it, different things like that, you’re asking for it. Therefore, you deserve rape." And his last three words I felt like were nice, and I decided to put them on a sign, and go to the event...

I believe that there are certain qualities that may be worthy of rape ... If a woman dresses proactively, gets blackout drunk, and is wearing really revealing clothing, then I would say that she is partially responsible for the rape.
