On his radio show today, American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer praised a Catholic high school in Columbus, Ohio, for firing teacher Carla Hale after she mentioned her lesbian partner in her mother’s obituary (video below).
As reported by Opposing Views, Hale had worked at Bishop Watterson High School for 19 years, but got axed after an anonymous parent turned in the obituary to school administrators and expressed outrage that Hale was allowed to teach.
"The school discriminated against this teacher,” Fischer said. “They were absolutely right to do it."
"They were discriminating against this woman's sexual behavior, sexual misconduct, immoral sexual behavior. We should make no apologies for discriminating against that kind of behavior."
“We discriminate against shoplifters," claimed Fischer. "We discriminate against immoral behavior all the time and we should... It is right to discriminate against people who engage in aberrant sexual behavior."
