At the University of Mississippi, hundreds of students staged a demonstration against President Obama’s re-election late Tuesday night (video below), reports RawStory.com.
The number of students is not clear, with the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reporting 200 people, but WMC-TV estimated 300 or 400. Some witnesses reported hearing racial slurs during the angry protest, which included burning Obama-Biden signs.
At midnight on Tuesday, police broke up the protest, which was captured on video (below) and posted on YouTube. No one was arrested or injured.
The woman who recorded this video said: “The cops showed up and there was a big old group of people, and they are dispersing out here in front of Kincannon [dormitory]. I’d say there’s about a good 150, two [hundred] people out here. It’s majority white people, so that’s all I got to say about that.”
