During a campaign event in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Wednesday, a woman told Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney that it was President Obama’s fault that her son had to lay off workers at some of his stores (video below).
She also claimed that Obama had somehow destroyed her son's business, but didn't give specific details: “And it’s all because of what this monster has done to this country. We have to have you as president.”
Romney responded: “That’s not a term I would use."
The woman replied: “I can. I’m an angry mom.”
Romney added: “You’re an angry mom, good. You have every right to be angry.”
Later at the event, Romney assured a paranoid supporter that he would not cede U.S. sovereignity, child rearing or the Second Amendment to the U.N., if elected president.
Romney said: "Turning to the United Nations to tell us how to raise our kids, or whether we can have the Second Amendment rights that our Constitution gave us, I mean, that is the wrong way to go, right? Do not cede sovereignty."
"I’m happy to talk there. I’m not willing to give American sovereignty in any way, shape or form to the United Nations or any other body. We are a free nation. We fought for freedom and independence. We are going to keep freedom and independence."
