On the 'Daily Show,' Thursday night, host Jon Stewart mocked Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's false ads about Jeep supposedly moving to China (video below).
Chrysler has issued several statements that Jeep is not moving production to China, but the Romney campaign has created TV and radio ads claiming the opposite, reports Mediaite.com.
Stewart said: “How out there is Mitt Romney? A car company, the people who convince you you need the undercoating, are coming after him for his dishonesty."
Stewart also mocked Romney's concern that Chrysler is owned by Italians: "What? Sold Chrysler to Italians? We’re afraid of Italians now? If Obama wins, it’ll be the Pope deciding what you drive. One day they’re ruining our car companies, the next day they’ll be kissing our daughters with their garlicky lips.”
