Video: Joe the Plumber Running For Congress?

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, who was given the blue-collar moniker of "Joe the Plumber" during the 2008 presidential campaign when he made headlines for a verbal exchange with then-candidate Barack Obama, has filed papers to run as a Republican for Congress in Ohio.

Wurzelbacher's campaign is still in the exploratory phrase, according to a spokesman, and he will have an official decision on whether he’ll run by Oct. 25. He is the only Republican in the race, along with two Democrats.

Joe spoke to Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC's 'The Last Word' Thursday night (video below) about his possible candidacy. He said that one reason he may run is “jobs, man.” “We have to have jobs in this area. Union, non-union alike, we need jobs,” before adding that he wants to “promote American people over party politics.”
