Video: "I Killed Khadafy" Says Libyan Rebel, New Video Emerges

A Libyan revolutionary fighter has bragged on a graphic video (below) that he killed Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy. The young man, who is pictured but not identified, said he killed the ruthless dictator because he could not bear the thought of taking him alive.

"We grabbed him," the rebel says in the video, which was [posted online). "I hit him in the face. Some fighters wanted to take him away and that's when I shot him, twice, in the face and in the chest."

To prove the video's authenticity, the fighter flaunts what appears to be Khadafy bloodstained shirt and a gold ring that he allegedly took from the Libyan leader's lifeless finger. The video shows the bloodied dictator, after he has been hauled from his hiding place in Sirte, being kicked and punched by his captors.

To shouts of "Allahu akbar" and with the sounds of assault rifle fire in the background, the men pull the bleeding Gaddafi across a patch of land and into a waiting truck.

The rebel fighters beat the former Libyan leader, pulling him by his hair and kicking dust up into his face. The injured Khadafy seems to remain silent throughout, despite enduring a string of blows to his face and head.

The activist group Human Rights Watch, which has condemned Khadafy's murderous actions for years, said today that there is "a trend of killings, looting and other abuses committed by anti-Khadafy fighters who consider themselves above the law."

The group urged Libyan authorities to rein in the armed groups.

The UN and Amnesty International have demanded an investigation into evidence that the former leader was executed after being captured alive.
