An unidentified Donald Trump supporter asked the Republican presidential candidate to get rid of Muslims who work for the TSA and replace them with retired veterans during a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, on June 30 (video below).
The female supporter asked Trump: "Homeland security and jobs. Why aren't we putting our military retirees on that border or in TSA? Get rid of all these hibijabis they wear at TSA. I've seen them myself."
The woman was apparently referring to Muslim hijabs, notes POLITICO.
Trump told the woman, "I understand," and she said, "We need the veterans back in there to take it. They fought for this country and defended it. They'll still do it."
"You know, and we are looking at that," Trump replied.
It's not clear if the woman is aware that Muslims are also retired veterans.
During the same rally, Trump said: I respect [Mexican] leaders. What they've done to us in incredible. Their leaders are so much smarter, so much sharper."
Trump then spotted a plane flying over, tweeted NBC Nightly News journalist Bradd Jaffy, and said: "In fact, that could be a Mexican plane up there. They’re getting ready to attack."
During an appearance in Rochester, New Hampshire, in 2015, another Trump supporter told the GOP candidate to "get rid" of Muslims, noted CNN at the time.
"We have a problem in this country," the Trump supporter said. "It's called Muslims. You know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American ... Anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That's my question: When can we get rid of them?"
Trump responded: "We're going to be looking at a lot of different things. You know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there. We're going to be looking at that and many other things."
