Trump On Obama's Critique Of GOP Debate: 'He Can't Handle The Country' (Video)

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump fired back at President Obama’s mocking of GOP presidential candidates’ criticism of the CNBC debate moderators with harsh words of his own for the president.

"He can't handle the country,” Trump said of Obama during an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Nov. 3 (video below). “He's doing a terrible job running the country.”

Trump’s comment came the day after Obama made fun of the GOP presidential candidates’ for their complaints about the CNBC debate moderators.

“They can’t handle a bunch of CNBC moderators," Obama said at the Nov. 2 Democratic National Convention fundraiser, ABC News reports. "I mean, let me tell ya, if you can’t handle, if you can’t handle those guys, you know then I don’t think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too worried about you.”

After the CNBC debate, and the unhappiness many of the candidates’ had with the questions and format, a united front was made between some presidential campaigns to enact changes to the debate format. A letter was drafted by Ben Ginsburg, a top Republican lawyer working with the presidential campaigns, that would be sent to TV networks outlining their criteria and processes they want for each of the debates.

Trump’s campaign has decided to deal with the TV networks directly and is refusing to sign the letter.

"They've been hitting me one way or the other. I just want to have the debates,” Trump said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “I like the debates. They can ask tough questions ... I just want to answer the questions and be done with it, frankly.”

Trump also used his time on “Good Morning America” to address the surge in the polls his closest opponent for the Republican nomination, Ben Carson, has recently experienced.

“I think that Ben just doesn’t have the experience,” Trump said.

“He hasn’t got the temperament for it,” Trump added.

In the two most recent national polls conducted by CBS/New York Times and NBC/Wall Street Journal, Carson has overtaken Trump for the lead, CNN reports. In the NBC/WSJ poll, Carson led Trump by 6 percentage points.

Trump did not stop with Carson when it came to commenting on his opponents for the Republican nomination.

"He has no chance," Trump said of former Gov. of Florida Jeb Bush. "He's wasting his time."

Trump called Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida “overrated” and a “lightweight.”

“I think Putin would eat him alive, Trump said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
