Trump Goes On Tirade Against Paul Ryan, Republicans

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump went on Twitter tirade against House Speaker Paul Ryan and other Republicans on Oct. 11.

Trump was apparently responding to Ryan's refusal to defend him, and the exodus of several Republicans because of a recently unearthed 2005 video of Trump talking about kissing women and grabbing their vaginas without their consent. notes some of Trump's tweets:

-- Despite winning the second debate in a landslide (every poll), it is hard to do well when Paul Ryan and others give zero support!

-- Our very weak and ineffective leader, Paul Ryan, had a bad conference call where his members went wild at his disloyalty.

-- With the exception of cheating Bernie out of the nom the Dems have always proven to be far more loyal to each other than the Republicans!

-- Disloyal R's are far more difficult than Crooked Hillary. They come at you from all sides. They don’t know how to win - I will teach them!

Trump did get some support from former Republican New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey on CNN on Oct. 10. McCaughey switched the topic from Trump's talk about sexual assaults on women to attacking Democratic presidential nominee Hilary Clinton for listening to Beyonce's music, notes ThinkProgress.

Appearing on CNN on Oct. 11, Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson blamed Democrats because they receive donations from Hollywood, which includes rappers who allegedly promote the rape culture with "hip hop music," reports ThinkProgress.

Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas blamed Trump's sexual assault comments on former President Bill Clinton on Fox News on Oct. 11:

Trump has said some things that are very vile back when he was supporting people like Bill Clinton. But if you’re Bill Clinton’s big buddy like he was at one time, you’re going to talk like Bill Clinton. And I think we need to forgive him for talking like big Democrats like Clinton and other foulmouthed people. Now he’s a Republican. James Dobson tells me he’s become a Christian. And so, look, we forgive him for the past because he’s asked for it.
