Ted Nugent May Run For President, Mike Huckabee Supports Him

Aging rocker and current NRA board member, Ted Nugent, is thinking about running for president.

Nugent has been outspoken about advancing gun rights and severely restricting immigrants' rights.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Nugent introduced himself as follows: "Hi, I’m Ted Nugent. I have nine children from seven women, and I’m running for president ... I'm thinking about it."

“Things are just so wrong in the country now," Nugent said. "I know that my answers would make things wonderful, unless you just refuse to produce, and then I’d recommend that you move to Canada. Or Illinois. The Republicans can’t possibly promise more s--- than the Democrats do. We can’t possibly offer more door prizes to the voters.”

In the past, Nugent has said that undocumented immigrants should be treated "like indentured servants," called Obama voters "pimps" and "whores," and bragged about killing 455 pigs with a machine gun.

Even though Nugent says he has fathered numerous kids with several women, Fox News host Mike Huckabee claims that evangelical Christians would support the rock star for president.

“I’m probably as straitlaced a Republican as there is, but I’d rather be around Ted Nugent, who has an absolute honesty about him, than a so-called values guy who is secretly bedding down half his staff," Huckabee said. "I think you’d be surprised at how many evangelicals respond to him. If he runs, I’ll go help him.”

Republicans are not the only ones hoping Nugent runs, so is Democratic consultant Paul Begala.

“It would be a very good thing for the Democrats," Begala said. "How many people would look at a 60-year-old man with long hair and a loincloth screaming the C-word about Hillary Clinton and say, ‘I wanna be like him?’”
