So Soon? Tim Pawlenty Drops Out of GOP Presidential Race

There was a time not too long ago when former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty was considered one of the favorites to win the 2012 Republican nomination for president. But now he is ending his bid for the White House before ever competing in a primary.

Pawlenty announced on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday that he is dropping out of the race. This followed a disappointing third place finish in the Iowa straw poll the previous day.
