Sen. Rand Paul: Black Lives Matter Should Change Name To 'All Lives Matter' (Video)

Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky recently advised the Black Lives Matter movement to change its name to "All Lives Matter" or "Innocent Lives Matter" (video below).

Paul, who is running for the GOP presidential nomination, shared his thoughts on Aug. 26 with Fox News host Sean Hannity, according to BuzzFeed News:

"Well, you know, and I think they should change their name, maybe, if they were 'All Lives Matter' or 'Innocent Lives Matter.' I am about justice, and frankly I think a lot of poor people in our country, and many African-Americans, are trapped in this war on drugs, and I want to change it.

"But commandeering the microphone and bullying people and pushing people out of the way, I think really isn’t a way to get their message across."

Paul was apparently referring to some Black Lives Matter activists who have interrupted speeches by Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont during his presidential candidacy rallies.

Hannity later claimed the median income of black people has fallen under President Barack Obama but failed to mention that Obama has strongly supported an increase in the federal minimum wage, a measure that Fox News hosts have repeatedly opposed, noted.
