Sen. Lindsey Graham Says Terrorist Attack From Iraq, Syria Will Set U.S. City on Fire (Video)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) claimed on Fox News Sunday that the U.S. could be attacked from Syria and Iraq.

“I think of an American city in flames because of the terrorists’ ability to operate in Syria and Iraq,” said Sen. Graham, noted (video below).

“Mr. President, you have never once spoke directly to the American people about the threat we face from being attacked from Syria, now Iraq," added Sen. Graham. "What is your strategy to stop these people from attacking the homeland?”

"They've expressed a desire to do so, so there's no political reconciliation in Baghdad that's going to protect the homeland," stated Sen. Graham. "That has to be a commander-in-chief with a strategy and a vision. This commander-in-chief has no strategy, he has no vision."

Sen. Graham didn't present any evidence to back up his claims about President Obama's supposed lack of strategy or the ability of ISIS terrorists to set an American city on fire.

Sen. Graham also claimed that President Obama was "trying to avoid a bad news story on his watch" by not stopping a terrorist attack against the U.S. by ISIS.

Fox News host Chris Wallace asked if Sen. Graham wanted to re-start the Iraq War, which Sen. Graham avoided answering.

“I’m saying that Iraq and Syria combined represent a direct threat to our homeland,” Sen. Graham explained. “His responsibility as president is to defend this nation. If he does not go on the offensive against ISIS, ISIL, whatever you want to call these guys, they are coming here!”

“It is about our homeland, and if we get attacked because he has no strategy to protect us then he will have committed a blunder for the ages,” said Sen. Graham.

Sen. Graham also falsely claimed that President Obama told Americans that "we're safe" because Osama Bin Laden was dead.

According to Yahoo! News, former Vice President Dick Cheney made the same claim on June 19 when he told Fox News, "Barack Obama has stated repeatedly the terrorist threat is gone, we got bin Laden. That’s clearly not the case. That’s not the truth."

However, noted that Obama has never said that, but actually stated on May 1, 2011: "The death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat al Qaeda. Yet his death does not mark the end of our effort. There’s no doubt that al Qaeda will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must –- and we will — remain vigilant at home and abroad."

There were also numerous other times that President Obama said the threat of terrorism was not gone, noted
