Secret Service Asks Twitter Users to Report Threats Against Politicians

With less than two weeks to go before the presidential election, the Secret Service is asking Twitter users to report threatening tweets against politicians.

The Secret Service recently issued a statement on their Twitter page asking users “to report a tweet that concerns you, call the nearest field office in your state.”

The Secret Service opened their twitter account over a year ago, but doesn't maintain any other known social media accounts, reports

Twitter users posted 6.5 million tweets during the third presidential debate on Monday, and a few contained death threats against President Obama and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
