Sarah Palin has taken to her favorite social media sites to bash the Obama Administration for not stopping Wikileaks from releasing confidential documents. And she suggested that she could have done what the administration could not.
Writing on Twitter on Monday, Palin said:
"Inexplicable: I recently won in court to stop my book 'America by Heart' from being leaked, but US Govt can't stop Wikileaks' treasonous act?" While cleverly getting a plug in for her new book, Palin was referring to her victorious fight to get the web site Gawker to take down pages of her book that were leaked. She fails to mention that the United States has no legal jurisdiction over the secretive international site, which is hosted by PRQ, a Sweden-based company that provides “highly secure, no-questions-asked hosting services.” Meanwhile, Gawker is based in New York City.
That didn't stop Palin from going on Facebook to further bash the administration:
The latest round of publications of leaked classified U.S. documents through the shady organization called Wikileaks raises serious questions about the Obama administration’s incompetent handling of this whole fiasco.
She wondered why the administration does not treat Wikileaks director Julian Assange as a terrorist:
He is an anti-American operative with blood on his hands. His past posting of classified documents revealed the identity of more than 100 Afghan sources to the Taliban. Why was he not pursued with the same urgency we pursue al Qaeda and Taliban leaders? Did we use all the cyber tools at our disposal to permanently dismantle Wikileaks?... Shouldn’t they at least have had their financial assets frozen just as we do to individuals who provide material support for terrorist organizations? She wrote that President Obama's order to make sure something like this doesn't happen again is too little, too late:
It’s of course important that we do all we can to prevent similar massive document leaks in the future. But why did the White House not publish these orders after the first leak back in July? What explains this strange lack of urgency on their part?
