Rush Limbaugh Says Weiner’s Wife Huma Is a ‘Doormat’ Because She Is Muslim (Audio)

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh weighed in on the Anthony Weiner cyber-sex controversy on Thursday, calling Weiner’s wife Huma Abedin powerless in the relationship because she is a Muslim.

“Huma is a Muslim,” Limbaugh said. “In that regard, Weiner ought to be able to get away with anything. Muslim women don’t have any power, right? Muslim women are beheaded, stoned, whatever if they drive, have affairs. In certain countries, Muslim women, if they’re raped, are killed – it’s their fault.”

The day before on his radio show Limbaugh called Huma a “doormat” and criticized her esteem for Hillary Clinton.

“Her loyalty is to Hillary Clinton and her role model is Hillary Clinton,” Limbaugh said. “Doormats. Doormats with the promise of a payoff later down the road.”

Abedin has been an aide to Hillary Clinton since the 1990s.

Even if she were not Muslim, however, Limbaugh believes Huma would never be able to leave Weiner. If she left Weiner because of the sex scandal, some speculate it would make Hillary look bad for sticking with Bill after the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

“Wouldn’t have looked good for Hillary,” Limbaugh said.

“Our marriage, like many others, has had its ups and its downs,” Abedin said at a Tuesday press conference with Weiner. “It took a lot of work and a whole lot of therapy to get to a place where I could forgive Anthony.”

'They are that power hungry that she stands there and she accepts the absolute disgracefulness of serial cheating from her husband,” political media strategist Adam Weiss told the New York Post. “Huma comes from the Clinton school of forgiveness — power is more important than dignity.”

Is Abedin’s choice to stand by Weiner motivated by love or power?
