Why Donald Trump Left His Own Super Bowl Party (Photo)

President Donald Trump left his Super Bowl party early, much to the surprise of his guests and the reporters who were on the scene.

The party took place at Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida, as noted by The Washington Post.

Trump's wife, Melania, and chief of staff Reince Priebus were seated at the same table, which was separated from the other guests by a velvet rope, reports Business Insider. The attendees were reportedly served a rather unhealthy fare of cupcakes, brownies, black and white cookies, popcorn, pretzels, and soft-serve ice cream.

However, Trump's favorite team, the New England Patriots, was trailing 28 to 3 near the end of the third quarter, and apparently he had seen enough.

As the president left the premises, headed for his Mar-a-Lago resort, the reporter pool filed the following summary:

As it turned out, Trump left the party too soon, as the Patriots went on to achieve the greatest comeback win in Super Bowl history.

Upon arriving at Mar-a-Lago shortly after the game's conclusion, Trump responded on Twitter regarding the unlikely outcome.

"What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots," he tweeted. "Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B are total winners. Wow!"
