Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) expressed his displeasure at President Obama for wearing a tan suit while making a statement about the terrorist group ISIS on Thursday.
"When you have the world watching a week, two weeks of anticipation of what the United States is gonna do..." Rep. King told NewsMaxTV today, noted Buzzfeed (video below).
"For him to walk out, I'm not trying to be trivial here, in a light suit, light tan suit, saying that first he wants to talk about what most Americans care about the revision of second quarter numbers on the economy," added Rep. King.
"This is a week after Jim Foley was beheaded and he's trying to act like real Americans care about the economy, not about ISIS and not about terrorism. And then he goes on to say he has no strategy."
In reality, Obama said there was a not a strategy "yet" about dealing with ISIS within the country of Syria whose allies include nuclear super-powers Russia and China.
Christian radio host Bryan Fischer was also angry about the tan suit during his Internet broadcast today, reports RightWingWatch.org (video below).
Fischer claimed the tan suit meant that President Obama "does not take the responsibilities of the office of the presidency seriously."
"This is not presidential dress. It's not professional," added Fischer, who claimed President Reagan would not remove his suit coat while in the Oval Office.
However, RightWingWatch.org posted several pictures of President Reagan wearing a tan suit, while Anthony-Clark.com posted pictures of Reagan with his suit coat off in the Oval Office and more of Reagan wearing a jogging suit in the Oval Office.
Rep. King made no mention of President Reagan wearing a tan suit.
