Commencement speeches are sometimes funny, sometimes boring, but rarely this controversial. Notre Dame University's decision to invite President Obama to deliver its commencement speech has angered many Catholics opposed to Obama's largely pro-life position. Now a student group called ND Response has formed to protest the University's invitation to Obama.
"As a Catholic institution we can't honor leadership that doesn't consider the sanctity of human life," said Kathleen Donahue, a spokesperson for ND Response.
