Two pro-life groups, Created Equal and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, claim that college students are supporting post-birth abortions, including toddlers.
“We encounter people who think it is morally acceptable to kill babies after birth on a regular basis at almost every campus we visit,” Mark Harrington, director of Created Equal, told The College Fix, a conservative website. “While this viewpoint is still seen as shocking by most people, it is becoming increasingly popular.”
“This is the whole problem with devaluing human life at any stage, it will naturally grow to include other groups of humans, in this case, born humans as well as pre-born humans,” added Harrington. “I talked with one young man at the University of Minnesota who thought it was alright to kill children if they were under the age of 5 years old, as he did not consider them persons until that age.”
Created Equal released a video (below) last month of an interview with a pro-choice supporter at Ohio State whom the organization asked about post-birth abortions, reported LifeNews.com.
"You're asking me whether I blanketly believe it's wrong to kill a newborn baby after that baby's been taken from it's mother's womb," stated the pro-choice advocate. "I'm saying to you I have no idea what medical necessities or medical issues would arise that would necessitate that."
The pro-choice advocate rejected Created Equal's hypothetical question, but never actually advocated infanticide as the group claimed.
Harrington has a long history in the anti-abortion movement. He was a director of the Center of Bio-Ethical Reform and part of the Genocide Awareness Project, which posted graphic pictures of abortion at college campuses, noted The Daily Collegian.
Kristina Garza, of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, also claimed that college students support infanticide.
However, like Harrington, Garza didn't present any proof.
“For those who are firmly for abortion, because they understand it kills a human being, it’s very easy for them to accept killing a human being after birth,” Garza told The College Fix. “There is this notion that is common on campus, that it’s OK to kill babies because somehow we don’t become human until we are self aware. A common number that is going around is 4 years old."
“While the number of students who believe it is okay with killing children after birth is growing, the number of students who accept that life beings at conception is also growing, and that is growing at a larger and faster rate than those who accept infanticide,” added Garza.
“The trends I am seeing is it’s not so much students are better grounded in morals, it’s that we as a pro-life movement have done our job in presenting a better argument, and we are pushing people out of the middle," claimed Garza. "We are seeing more students who see the logic and choose to be anti-abortion.”
