Saturday night President Barack Obama addressed the White House journalists during the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, keeping in his tradition of playing the comedian during his speech.
“After my stellar 2013,” Obama began, “what could I possibly talk about?”
Obama poked fun at himself as well as a number of his fellow politicians and various news outlets. He noted that Fox News would probably miss him, since they’d have a harder time convincing Americans that Hillary Clinton was born in Kenya.
Obama also mentioned the introduction of universal health care, joking that his campaign slogan went from “Yes We Can” to “Control-Alt-Delete”.
Finally, Obama touched on unemployment insurance and his argument over introducing it with Republicans.
“If you want to get paid while not working,” Obama quipped, “you should have to run for Congress just like everybody else.”
Obama finished his speech on a more serious note and remarked on America's freedom of press.
