Poll: 43 Percent Of Republicans Support Military Overthrow Of U.S. Government (Video)

A new poll says that almost half of all Republicans would support a military overthrow of the U.S. government (video below).

According to a recent survey by YouGov, 43 percent of Republicans, 29 percent of Independents and 20 percent of Democrats could imagine supporting a military coup in the U.S.

In general, only 29 percent of Americans would support a military takeover, and 41 percent oppose it.

Additionally, 70 percent of Americans believe the U.S. military has the best interests of America in mind, while 71 percent believe members of Congress want whatever favors their self-interests and 59 percent think local politicians are out for themselves.

Ironically, conservatives and Republicans were deeply concerned about a possible U.S. military takeover this summer via the military's Jade Helm 15 exercises, noted MSNBC (video below).

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas promised his constituents he would ask the Pentagon about the exercises in July, reported Bloomberg Politics.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbot of Texas tweeted in April: "I've ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor Jade Helm 15 to safeguard Texans' constitutional rights, private property & civil liberties."

Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky told a talk show host in April that he would look into the Jade Helm 15 exercises, reported
