Photos: Check Out Obama's Hawaii Vacation Rental

President Barack Obama is expected to leave cold Washington, D.C. over the next couple of days to join his family in tropical Hawaii for their annual winter vacation. It's customary for a president to pick a location somewhere in the United States -- outside of the Capitol -- to spend the holiday.

For the third straight year, the Obamas will spend their down time in the president's home state (sorry, birthers) at "The Plantation Estate at Paradise Point at Kailua Bay on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu." The estate's Web site goes further:

The lavish oceanfront estate is fully appointed with exquisite amenities and custom finishes and furnishings from around the world. The home is built for exceptional security, comfort and elegance just steps from the silky white sands of Kailua Beach, recognized as the number one presidential vacation destination and one of the best beaches in the world.

The rental house boasts nearly 5,000 square feet of interior living space, plus an additional 1,945 feet of covered outdoor space. There is a pool and spa, of course, and the beach is just steps out of the back door.

Here is a photo montage of the house:
