President Obama is taking to Twitter in a big way, holding his first town hall meeting using the social networking site on July 6.
The White House broke the news, appropriately enough, on Twitter on Thursday:
Obama will answer questions about the economy and jobs during a live chat that will be simulcast online. Questions can be submitted via theaskobama.twitter.com website or by using the hashtag #AskObama.
Twitter is becoming extremely important in politics (just ask Anthony Weiner). Republican candidates will hold a debate via Twitter on July 20.
